John Hampton, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Educational Technology and Foundations at the University of West Georgia. His primary research interests focus on technology’s impacts upon Identity and other identity-related constructs, such as self-esteem, self-efficacy, and resilience, and online literacy and credibility skills.

Prior to joining UWG, John taught high school English and photojournalism in central Florida. He also graduated from the University of Florida with a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction (2022), an M.Ed. in English Education (2007), and a B.A. in English (2006).
